A Fan’s Tale

Fellow Larry David fan, health Jim has been kind enough to share his experience of seeing Larry in conversation with Susie Essman at the 92nd Street Y.

You had asked me to tell you about the Larry David Night at the Y so here it is. First off HBO was taping it, ailment so it will either be on HBO, HBO On Demand or included in the Season 6 DVD set as it was being recorded. the second thing that happened is that susie was introduced and told everyone that they are in for a special treat, we got to see the first episode of Curb, (Meet The Blacks). All i am going to say was it was HILARIOUS! then Larry and Susie talked for about 1 hour and 20 minutes after that. Jeff was in the audience standing behind my mom and I the whole time. Dark glasses, lost weight and had a crew cut. Susie and larry discussed the development of Curb, the opening episode, the outlines, took questions from the audience, and asked larry about his past. Susie talked about her character. Larry said that he is 50/50 on season 7 and there was a good chance of it happening. He also said that Season 6 was 80/20 of NOT happening. Infact, Susie called Larry in January and asked about another year and larry said no to take something else, then called susie back and said yes. It was great seeing Larry in person. though i did not get to meet him. He slipped though the side door. The show was a complete sell out, aside from 2 seats in the row in the front to the left of us. Which was good so we can see. We were in row Y in Orch. which was good you can see larry and susie pretty good. so, there ya go!
