Hope for season 7 of Curb Your Enthusiasm?

March 27th, 2008 Alex 20 comments

New York Press reports that Susie Essman talked to Lizz Winstead on Shoot the Messenger a few days ago where she was asked, “Can we expect another season of Curb?” She confirmed what we’ve heard from Cheryl Hines saying that Larry mentioned that Season 6 will most likely be the last (as he did after season 5, and 4, etc.) However Susie joked that a recent a magazine article claiming that Larry’s ex-wife Laurie’s career is getting bigger than his might “inspire enough spite” for him to do a seventh season.
“I really don’t know what’s going to happen, though,” she said.

In other news, Reuters reports that Henry Cavill will join Larry in the cast of the untitled upcoming Woody Allen film. They’ve started shooting and the news is that larry will play the love interest of Evan Rachel Wood’s character.

In celebration and anticipation of Larry David’s and Woody Allen’s upcoming feature film collaboration here is a clip of Larry appearing as a theatre manager in Woody’s 1989 short film, Oedipus Wrecks. It was one of three films in the New York Stories collection, along with films from Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola.

Movie update

March 10th, 2008 Alex No comments

Some news on Larry’s upcoming role in Woody Allen’s new film. The UK’s Daily Mail reports that Larry will be co-starred by Oscar-winning British actress Emma Thompson, as well as Conleth Hill and Charles Edwards.

Larry has also posted on his rarely-updated blog on The Huffington Post. Titled, “On the Red Phone“, it is a short political piece on Hilary Clinton. Regardless of your politics, fans will hopefully enjoy Larry’s trademark sardonic wit.

Earlier in the week there was a rumour that Jerry Seinfeld was returning to TV with a new NBC sitcom, similar in style to Curb. This has since been denied by both Jerry and NBC.

Not a lot to report but don’t despair I have a video treat for all you LDFans that I will post within the next day!
