Season 9 Episode 4 Review: Running With the Bulls

Larry’s therapist accuses him of overstepping; Susie grows suspicious of Jeff; Larry bribes an usher at a funeral.

Unfortunately this was my least favourite of the season so far. Bryan Cranston appears as Larry’s shrink and generally does well but let’s just say it’s nowhere near as memorable as Tim Whatley. The extramarital affair with Jeff and the real estate agent seemed a bit off. It wasn’t particularly funny, and it’s further eroded some of the likeability or at least relatability of Larry’s manager. Richard Lewis is terrific again, his scenes with Larry always seems natural.

Highlights:

  • Richard seems quite the artistic talent, “Maybe you could paint me with hair”.
  • The tiddly wink method
  • “My Johnson hangs in the water”
