Season 8 Episode 2: The Safe House
Larry becomes an unlikely role model for battered women; Richard Lewis’s relationship with a burlesque performer is put to the test; Leon survives a case of mistaken identity.
Just watched it. Loved it! Possibly one of the best since season 5.
It really seems like Larry is on a roll this season. He seems freer with the characters and the stories than at the end of last season and I think it has to do with the constriction of the “Seinfeld Reunion” arc. The break has done Larry good, and perhaps roaming Hollywood as a single man has also helped free his comic mind. The dialogue in this episode is so free-flowing and natural it is a joy to watch. Richard Lewis’ return is terrific. The banter between them never gets old. I’ve had to write this review late due to PC issues but will return to it with full highlights once I get it back up and running (on an old notebook at present).
What did you think?
really enjoyed it too
Funkhauser’s comment to Lewis in the restaurant was a classic – it had all the cast genuinely laughing
intrigued as to when they head to NYC
Def loved this one better than the first one!
Larry is a genius and I love to laugh, the shows have been very funny, but I really don’t understand why it can not be just as funny without all the bad language?
You did it with Seinfeld. Is there a reason why the cursing has to be a part of this very funny show?
Another great episode, although the notebook and Leon plot felt too silly for me. There were some insanely funny moments though, all involving Lewis and his girlfriend.
