Season 6 Episode 1: Meet the Blacks
Season 6 premiered last night.
The Davids take in a family whose life was destroyed by a hurricane.
Larry comes up with a way to avoid going to parties he has no desire to attend.
My rating: 4/5
I will write more about it once more fans have watched it.
Meanwhile, cialis feel free to discuss!
Also, the site has a new logo courtesy of fellow Larry David fan and graphic designer, Tom. He sent me the new banner today, which he whipped up himself and I think looks excellent.
Thanks again Tom!
Oh and season 3 poll will start tomorrow!
I think this was a pretty, pretty good start for the new season :).
Positive/ funny:
– almost all the important characters appeared (Richard Lewis, Jeff, Susie, Funkhauser)
– showing up one day after the part… great idea 😉
– once again, all the storylines came together perfectly in the end
– the introduction of the Blacks
– Larry saying that he would want to have sex with Cha Cha
– it´s always a pleasure to watch Larry and Richard argue with each other
– the cake…
I can´t think of anything else right now, I guess I have to watch it again…
Excellent first episode. When you really like a show and a new season comes up, you are often disappointed because you just have that high expectations. Not so with curb! Man he really writes those stories where you roll laughing even if you`re a long time fan… amazing
I forgot to mention that I really like the new banner. So Tom, you did a pretty good job on that :).
I´ve just watched the episode again and I enjoyed it even more this time.
What really fascinates me about Larry David´s writing, is how well all the stories are brought together. Everything fits perfectly- the fire alarm, smoking in the house, the Blacks, the party excuse.
And I once more realized how awesome the whole Curb- cast seems to work together.
I liked the fact that there was a lot of Larry and Cheryl interaction this time.
And the Larry- Richard “fight” was so funny, too.
I´m really looking forward to the storyline with the Blacks, they had a promising start in this episode.
I thought it was a fantastic episode! It doesn’t look like they’ve had a long break, as the acting, timing and chemistry between the actors was pristine. I particularly enjoyed Larry’s ‘stares’ when Jeff and Lewis showed up at the parties.
I loved it – it’s great to have him back… my one problem with the continuity was when Ted Danson arrived at the burnt out house which was presumably the morning – for an evening party
